December can be a hectic month but it can also be a great time to slow down and enjoy the season. I have been so grateful for this amazing chilly weather we've been having! I can finally make some hearty soups for dinner and allow myself my only-in-December glass of eggnog. Since I celebrate Christmas and Hanukkah I do have some gift-giving to do this month and I am starting now so that I don't find myself stressed out later on. I wanted to share some of my very favorite gifts to give.
Safer skincare is the mission of this luxe beauty product company. I LOVE everything I've used from BeautyCounter. I could go on and on about their products but I think the Citrus Mimosa hydrating body lotion is my favorite and it makes a great gift.
I will admit that Denis is a student of mine but he has no idea I'm doing this. I couldn't make a list of my favorite gifts without including his incredible cashmere designs. Denis has created a beautiful lifestyle collection of shawls, blankets and apparel. I never travel without one of his pieces.
I live around the corner from this store so while I'm out on my afternoon walk I always manage to find a reason to pop in and see what's new. This is a fancy home design and furnishings store but they have great, unique gifts like beautiful tumblers and fancy coasters. Who doesn't want a fancy coaster, am I right? There are a lot of good options here for your loved one who has modern artsy taste. If you're in the hood check out Yolk as well, another great gift spot.
This is my very favorite fitness clothing company! The fabrics are soft but supportive and the designs are stylish and flattering. Unfortunately they don't make guys clothing yet but guys- this is a great gift for the gal in your life.
I usually give my family members each a gift and then make a donation on their behalf as well. Everyone feels good about it and the kids are learning that we all need to help each other out. This is one of my favorite organizations to donate to...or you can always rescue a pet for the animal lover in your life.
Another wonderful way to shop small and shop local. This Eagle Rock store is like Etsy in person. Lots of lovely gifts for kids or anyone in your family.
...and if you just feel too overwhelmed by it all how about a gift certificate! If you'd like to gift a loved one with good health I have LIZ SMITH PILATES gift certificates available. I am always here to give my love, my support and lots of smiles.
